Securing medical supplies
I have participated with HART on two consecutive projects to Ghana, West Africa.
Both trips were extremely successful. Not only did we perform operations on many
patients, but the HART physicians provided valuable medical training to the Ghanaian
physicians. With our experience and equipment, we were able to share medical
knowledge and teach proper techniques and procedures in treating Buruli Ulcer.
We transcended the culture barriers and worked together to save lives. These
projects have been transforming experiences for the students as well. Not only
do they gain valuable medical experience, but they are able to see the fruits
of their fund-raising and leadership efforts. These are hardworking, dedicated
volunteers who give of their time and money so that they can give service to
others. I whole-heartedly support the efforts of the HART organization. They
are doing a great service to mankind. Please consider their request for funding.
A donation to this organization could save hundreds of lives.
